My name is Cris, and I’m a self-taught artist from Arizona. I love drawing people, so a lot of my artwork consists of portrait drawings, character drawings, and some comic art.

I discovered the joy of drawing at the age of 6 & I’ve been obsessed with it every since.
I grew up with 4 other siblings watching anime & cartoons like Dragon Ball Z, Rocket Power, Mobile Suit Gundam, G Gundam, Zoids, Samurai Jack, The Simpsons, Bleach, Ghost in the Shell, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Ed Edd n Eddy, and soooo many more.
I also really enjoyed reading the Sunday newspaper comic strips & Archie Comics that I’d get from the grocery store. I even started making my own comic books around that time by stapling together computer paper.
My start with portrait drawing came when family members started to ask me to draw them. I’d never done it before & I was a little nervous, but I loved the challenge nonetheless. I was in middle school around this time.
And now, well into adulthood, my passion for drawing continues to grow.
And you know what? It’s not just the finished pieces of artwork that I love, but the entire process. Finding inspiration, getting started, overcoming obstacles, and FINALLY being able to gaze upon something YOU have created. Something new & unique that had not existed before. Something to be proud of.
